All Creatures Great & Small
Because the Human-Animal Bond Doesn't Stop at the Back Door
The Problem Isn't Just What's Happening in Our Homes — It's What's Happening to Our World
Global wildlife populations have declined by 73% since 1970.
Habitat loss is the number one driver. But it doesn't stop there — environmental toxins, deforestation, and ecosystem collapse affect domestic animals and humans in the same cascading patterns they affect wildlife.
The animal in your home and the animal in the wild are part of the same web. When we ignore one, we damage both.
At Finnleigh's Furry Friends, we don't look away from that.
Why This is Part of Our Mission
The human-animal bond isn't a category. It's a relationship — and that relationship extends to every living thing we share this earth with.
This pillar is not a tangent. It is the same mission, extended to every creature the system has failed to protect.
We believe:
You cannot fully protect companion animals while ignoring the ecosystems they depend on
Environmental health and animal health are the same conversation
Restoration is possible — but only if we start
What We Do
Urban Canopy Restoration & Tree Planting
Restoring tree canopy lost to storms, development, and neglect — including active work in Bay County, Florida, recovering from the destruction of Hurricane Michael. Trees are habitat. Trees are air. Trees are the infrastructure of life.
Wildlife Rehabilitation
Supporting the care and recovery of injured and orphaned wildlife — because wild animals deserve the same dignity we extend to the pets in our homes.
Habitat Preservation
Advocating for and supporting the preservation of natural habitats — because extinction is permanent, and every habitat lost takes species with it.
Community Awareness
Building a community that understands the interconnectedness of all living things — domestic animals, wild animals, and the ecosystems connecting them. Because it's all connected. It always has been.
It's All Connected
The chronic disease showing up in your pet. The declining songbird populations. The cancer clusters in communities near industrial agriculture. These are not separate problems with separate solutions.
They are one problem. And they require one movement willing to say so.
One tree. Many branches. All creatures great and small. 💜🌱
Why daycare for children with ASD? To give parents a break, to allow them to go to work and recharge.
